Versailles Conservatoire – Vibrate, Grow, Share: Orchestra Festival 2026
As part of the Mois Molière 2026 festival, the orchestra, conducted by Quentin Molto, is giving its final performance of the year
He presents a programme consisting entirely of contemporary works, featuring narrative pieces that evoke great historical and folkloric epics by the Dutch composer Jacob de Haan and the Belgian composer Jan Van der Roost. Next up is a landmark work in the history of music: In C by the American composer Terry Riley. Composed in 1964 and considered the founding work of musical minimalism, it is built around 53 short musical phrases, each performed by a musician at their own pace. Hypnotic effects guaranteed.
